Psalm 118: 5-9
5 I called on the Lord in distress;
The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.
6 The Lord is on my side;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?
7 The Lord is for me among those who help me;
Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.
8 It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in princes.

Let’s pray: Dear God in Heaven, we thank you for being a God who is omnipotent , omniscient and omnipresent. God we put our trust in you. Thank you for this morning for reminding us simply who you are and whose we are. God we pray know for those who come against us, for you are our strength and our redeemer. God watch over us on this day, guide us with you mighty hand. Allow your Spirit to dwell in us and through as a witness to the world. God we know that you are our God and we are your people. Thank you for your grace and your mercy. We give your name all the honor and glory. This is our prayer in Jesus name, amen.
