The last few days have been somewhat of a challenge. Yesterday morning , I was saddened upon waking to learn of the assassination of the Prime Minister of Japan. Having live there for 6 years, this type of event is really unimaginable. On top of that, on one of the hottest days of the year, our HVAC system failed. On top of that after avoiding it for two plus years, I find myself dealing this morning with the physical impacts of Covid 19. While this week has been a challenge, I find comfort in the word of God. Romans 8:28 is a word of encouragement. This text reminds us that for those who love God, all things work together.
What catches us by surprise does not surprise God
God is still sovereign over all things
God has a plan for our lives even when we are faced with challenges, large and small
Maybe you are facing some difficulties today that you don’t understand. I encouraged you to take comfort in knowing that ALL things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. I don’t know what challenges we will face today or tomorrow, but I know everything is going to be alright.
