And the Peace of God

Philippians 4:6-7

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Quickword: And the Peace of God

In this space on yesterday, I shared from the 6th verse if this text with an emphasis on the fact that we can “Tell God about it” Today’s quick word is focused on the results of taking our concerns to God. Verse 7 opens with the word and, the word and is a conjunction that connects a previous action with a subsequent action. The situations and circumstances of life can sometimes make you feel like you have or in the process of losing our minds. Vs 6 tells us to be anxious for nothing but with thanksgiving take our request to God. Here is my Sunday morning praise: And: When we take our concerns to God, the conjunction And shows up: And when And shows up, she brings the peace of God! Y’all don’t know when to shout, you send And brings:

- The peace of God that surpasses all understanding

-The peace of God that guards our hearts and mind

- The peace of God that comes through Christ Jesus!

Can I be a witness this morning; you all who really know me, not you, you don’t know me like that! I’m talking about those who really know me. I don’t have a lot of patience for laziness, lying and lack of leadership. I had an encounter with someone this week who embodies all three of these traits. As they were talk to me, I was getting ready to go there. And I remembered verse 6, I was not anxious, I had prayed prior to the meeting with thanksgiving, I’d let my request be made known to God. And just when I was getting ready to go there. And the peace of God showed up! Y’all I was so calm it confused the enemy. I dismissed myself in a calm manner from this situation, went back to my office and had a great day! The peace of God will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Can’t nobody give you peace like Jesus. So this morning if you don’t have peace, take a moment, wherever you are, don’t worry about who is around and just call His name! Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! You don’t even have to tell me, I know you feel better! And the peace of God will surpass all understanding!
