I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Psalms 34, verse 1 from the inception of my ministry has been one a verse that has been encouraged me through some of the most difficult times of my life. This Psalm encouraged me when my parents passed away; this psalms encouraged me when one of my closest friends passed away. This psalm encouraged me when the my mentor passed away as a result of Covid 19. Yet today while sitting in a sanctuary I witness Authentic Praise. I watched a young woman who was laying her mother to rest today offer authentic praise; after paying homage to her mother and thanking persons for sharing in the homecoming celebration, instead of returning to her seat with her family, she join members of the choir assembled and through her tears and grief, she lifted her voice in praise unto the Lord:

• Authentic Praise is an extremely personal encounter with the Lord

• Authentic Praise takes place at all times to include the most difficult times of life

• Authentic Praise serves a a testimony to others of the goodness of the Lord

My beloved brothers and sisters, I pray that whatever you are facing today that you can find a reason to give praise unto the Lord even through the dark clouds of life. It is during the difficult days of our lives that Authentic Praise moves us into the very presence of God! I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
