We are living in a world where especially in the United States we are as divided as ever. I read an article recently that highlighted that we no longer work toward the common good of everyone (if we ever did) but in general terms we take sides and demonize the other side. It is Republicans versus Democrats, it's Pro Life vs Pro Choice, its advocates for immigrantion vs anti -immigration, etc. This text urges us not to be deceived by the principles of the world but to live according to Christ.

Violence in the nation continues to plagued many parts of the country. Food deserts have increased leaving more persons vulnerable. Basic necessities of water are compromised in places such as Flint Michigan , Helena Arkansas and Jackson Mississippi. As the people of God, we are called to minister to the least among us. Let us not be deceived by worldly powers. We are the light of the world.
