Best Decision

2nd Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward [c]us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Quickword: Best Decision

There are days where I’m troubled at the seemingly disregard of the justice of the Lord. I am thankful for the Lord’s Grace and Mercy but I also know the Lord is faithful to His word. The word in 2nd Peter reminds us that the Lord is not slack concerning His promise, but the Lord is long suffering toward us in that His desire is that all would depend and not perish.

  • Let us be mindful not to take the Lord’s patience for granted.

  • Do not be deceived the Lord is not slack.

  • The long suffering of the Lord is to allow for us for repent and not perish.

I simply want to suggest that the opportunity to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior is NOW! We all think we will have time to get it right. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone. God’s love for us is so great that He sent His son Jesus to die for the remission of our sins. We know that the death of the Savior was not the end of the story. We are blessed that three days later Jesus rose so that we might have life and life more abundantly. Don’t wait, make the decision to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. It’s the best decision that you will ever make.
