Bless The Lord

Psalms 34:1-3 1

I will bless the Lord at all times;

His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 My soul shall make its boast in the Lord;

The humble shall hear of it and be glad.

3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me,

And let us exalt His name together.

Quickword: Bless The Lord

Over the years when the challenges of life have fallen upon us, I would hear the Saints say sometimes we have to praise our way through. Many of us, if not all of us are facing some situations or circumstances that is weighing us down. This morning I want to suggest and encourage you while encouraging myself that sometimes we just have to praise our way through. David the author of this Psalms reminds us that even in the difficult times of life we should bless the Lord. Our praises unto the Lord are both an individual and collective effort. David says:

- I will bless the Lord at all times

- His praise shall continually be in my mouth

- My soul shall make it boast of the Lord

- Out praise will be heard among the humble and they will be glad and encouraged

- Magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together

Even through the challenges of life that we are facing individually, as a family, church and even a nation, there is still much to be thankful for. I know, mass shootings, political corruption, higher prices on goods and services, health issues, the loss of love ones are heavy burdens. Today I’m just going to praise my way through. The Lord has been to good and brought me through too many other situations and circumstances for me to give up now. So I echo the sentiments of the Psalmist, I will blessed the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth, Oh magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together. My brothers and my sisters, I promise you, if you give thanks and blessing unto the Lord, you will feel better. The Lord is still good and He is worthy of our praise.
