But God!

Genesis 50: 20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive

Quickword: But God!

Have you ever been betrayed by people who are the closest to you? This kind of betrayal can leave even the strongest of us hurt and scarred. It is only when we come to a point in our lives that we can see the hand of God in every aspect of our lives. I don't have the space here to cover all that happen to the main character in this text. Bible scholars know the story of Joseph. We know how he was his father's favorite son. We know of his brothers jeolously that led to him to being thrown into a pit. We know of the false accusations. We know of the imprisonment. We know his life story of being taken from the bottom to the top or as i've heard it said, Joseph was taken from the pit to the palace. It is here in Genesis chapter 50 because of the position he now occupies he says to his brothers; what you meant for evil against me, but God meant it for good.

  • God knows who is for us and against us...

  • God can turn the bitter days of our lives into blessings...

  • God has the power to turn what was evil against us into something that prospers us; but not only us, but prosper those who meant us harm....

My brothers and sisters all I want you to get from this post is that we need to have the faith to know that no matter the situations and circumstances that we will face in life, to include when people mean to do us harm , we can see the handiwork of God. When the enemy thought he won, But God.

When you didn't get the promotion, but now you do the hiring, But God.

When they threw everything possible at you to destroy you yet you are still standing, But God.

We are where we are not because of who we are but because of whose we are are. We are here because of "but God". But God is when God shows up and blessed us in spite of us. But God is the divine demonstration of God's Grace and God's mercy. If you have ever had a But God experience you know that God is worthy to be praised.
