Over the next couple of weeks, our Quickword time will come from the observations of the Journey of Jesus as He makes His way to Calvary. Today we ease drop on a encounter Jesus has with Nicodemus. Nicodumes was a Pharisee, a teacher of the law, this leader had been coming to Jesus in the darkness of night as not to let his contemporaries know he found something different about the teachings of the one named Jesus. It’s here in verse 4 that Nicodemus asks a question that is still relevant today; Can a man be born again? This language of being born again was confusing to Nicodemus and he was trying to understand it from an earthly perspective. It’s from that perspective that Nicodemus says, How can a man be born again when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus responds to Nicodemus inquiry

- That which is born of the flesh is of the flesh, that which is born of the spirit is of the spirit.

- Jesus tells Nicodemus that he speaks of things that He knows yet his testimony is not believed

- How can a man be born again; John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

The answer to the question of can a man be born again is found in our belief in God. In the name of Jesus there is new life, In the name of Jesus, there is rebirth, In the name of Jesus, no matter ones age, circumstance, past history, race, gender, political affiliation, etc… Everyone can be born again, all one must do is believe. Believe that Jesus is the son of God, Believe that Jesus, lives, died and rose again for our sins. Can a man live again, Yes- Just Believe!
