Cast Our Cares Upon The Lord

Psalms 55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you;

He shall never permit the righteous to be [g]moved.

Quickword: Cast Our Cares Upon The Lord

There is an old saying I heard when growing up when the challenges of life seem to continually be coming: the saying being if it’s not one thing it’s another. Many of us may find ourselves in that cycle of life. The loss of a love one followed by the strain of a financial burden; an unexpected medical diagnosis followed by the loss of a job; the end of a long term relationship followed by the daily grind of just trying to make it from one day to the next. If it’s not one thing it’s another. This morning in Psalms 55, verse 22, we find words of encouragement when we find ourselves caught in midst of one of life’s cycles. The Psalmist reminds us as believers in Christ :

- We can cast our burdens on the Lord.

- The Lord sustains us during the cycles of life.

- The Lord will never allow permit the righteous to be moved ( slip, fall, fail).

Beloved it, I wish I could tell you that the challenges of life at some point will cease. If I told you that, it would be a dishonest statement. There comes a times in all of our lives that we may find ourselves saying, if it’s not one thing it’s another. The good news is that we serve a God who is able to do anything but fail. We can cast our cares and concerns upon Him. He has the power to sustain us individually and collectively. The God whom we serve will not permit the righteous to be moved. Today if you find yourself in one of these if it’s not one thing it’s another cycles, take comfort in knowing that we can cast ALL of our cares upon the Lord for He cares for us. I simply come as a witness today that the Lord will see us through.
