Isaiah 1:18-20

18 “Come now, and let us reason together,”

Says the Lord,“Though your sins are like scarlet,

They shall be as white as snow;Though they are red like crimson,They shall be as wool.

19 If you are willing and obedient,

You shall eat the good of the land;

20 But if you refuse and rebel,

You shall be devoured by the sword”;

For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

Quickword: Come now, let us reason together...

The word of the Lord which came unto the prophet Isaiah is still a relevant word for you and I. God almighty is still calling the world to repentance. My beloved brothers and sisters, it is easy to highlight the shortcomings and sins of others yet in this Quickword I want to suggest that the Lord is calling each of us individually to come to Him and reason together. When we come and reason with God, He makes an offer we should not refuse. When we reason together if we are honest with ourselves we confess that...

Our sins are like scarlet, we need to be washed in the blood of the Lamb of God

If we are obedient and willing to repent, we shall flourish in the land

If we refuse the word of God and rebel we will be devoured by the sword.

The Quickword today is simply a call for you and I to repent and to be obedient to the word of God. John 3:16 tells us that God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Today is a good day to repent, to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior; Today is a good day to redeidicate our lives to God; Today is a Good day to reason within ourselves that God has given us the gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ, all we have to do is make the decision to accept Him as Lord and Savior.
