6 When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.

Quickword: Conditions Designed To Bring God Glory Pt.2
In John chapter 9, Jesus is asked by His disciples regarding a man born blind, who sun, was it the man or his parents that caused this condition. In our Quickword yesterday we highlighted that in our humanity, there is a desire to understand impaired conditions and try to frame them as a result of cause and effect. Yet we highlighted in this text is that there are times when our situations, circumstances and conditions are designed to bring God glory. Simply stated there are some conditions that are overcomes only by the power and presence of God. The power and presence of Jesus is evident in the man born blind from birth receiving his sight.
- There are conditions in our lives that are critical and only overcomes by the power and touch of Jesus.
- Jesus took Saliva (the DNA of the Savior) made clay and anointed the eyes of the blind man and sent him to the pool is Siloam and told him to wash his eyes.
- When the blind man returned from Siloam, he came back seeing. What a powerful move of Jesus. The blind man received his sight. The power of the text is that it highlights that there are some conditions designed to give God glory. There are conditions of humanity that the power and presence of Jesus overcomes. The conditions are some overwhelming such as a man being born blind that when the conditions are made while God gets the glory. Let me see if I can make it clear, when the cancer is cured, when the heart condition is fixed, when the the marriage is saved, when the addiction is overcome…we have to pause and give God glory. He is worthy of all of the praise!
