Dangers Seen And Unseen

Psalms 191:1-2

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

Quickword: Dangers Seen and Unseen

As a child, I often heard in prayers the petition, God thank you for keeping us from dangers seen and unseen. This morning, as I reflect over my life of events recent and in distant memory, the blessings of a God who keeps us through dangers seen and unseen.

- It is a blessing to dwell in the shadow (protection) of the Almighty God

- God is our refuge and fortress

- We can put our trust in God to keep us though dangers seen and unseen.

What a blessing it is to have the assurance of the presence, power and protection of the almighty God. This assurance comes when we dwell in His presence. The Psalmist in this text identifies that place of protection as the secret place. Beloved it, for those of the Faith, God shields us in His secret place where we are protected from the dangers of this world. The enemy is constantly attacks us with the goal to kill, steal and destroy. There are times when we are aware of the danger around, perhaps not the gravity of the danger, seen dangers. There are other times when we are not aware of the dangers that we face and God almighty protects even when we don’t know the danger that we are in, unseen danger. Today, I thank God for those senior Saints who prayed for you and I when we didn’t understand, dangers seen and unseen. Today, I give God thanks for keeping us, even now, through dangers, seen and indeed! Thank you God for your protection.
