1st John 4:20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, [a]how can he love God whom he has not seen?
Quick word: Demonstrate The Love of God
Oftentimes our words and the actions or lack of actions we take are contradictory to our confessed love for God. Nothing is more contradictory than a believer of God who states he or she loves God but whose actions demonstrate something decidedly different than that of someone who professes the love of God. This is just my belief that this contradiction is the reason Christians have lost and continue to lose influence in the world, especially in America. Our words and actions don’t line up.
- Words mean nothing without actions…
- Confession of our Love for God are meaningless if our love for humanity is absent…
- Love of God whom we have not seen is not genuine when we failed to love those whom we see…
Our confessed love of God means nothing if our love for those whom we see is non-existent. Love is an action word. All of us know of someone or some family in need. There are persons in the richest nation in the world who go hungry everyday, persons spend their nights gazing at stars, not as a hobby but because they are homeless. I hear you asking what can I do, these are major issues. If you love God, start by loving those whom we see, those who need a helping hand., take action! One day, one person at a time, we can demonstrate our love for God by our love for the least among us.
Amen Preacher Amen. Praise God!
