Do you know my daddy?

John 14:9-11

9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to youI do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me,or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

Quickword Do you know my daddy?

A familiar catch phrase from a daytime talk show hinges on the DNA results that identifies a man as the biological father of a child whose identity is in dispute. The host of the show after getting the results says to the waiting man, you are father or you are not the childs father ( Y’all watch too much trash tv). The question posed to both believers in Christ and non-believers today is do you know who your Heavenly father is? In the text Jesus is responding to a question or point of clarification from Philip. Earlier in John 14, verse 7 Jesus stated to his followers, “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” In Vs. 8, Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” The question I posed today is do you know my Father or more affectionate, Do you know my Daddy? The Father( Daddy) is revealed through relationship with Jesus Christ.

-Jesus proclaims if you know me then you know the father

- Jesus proclaims the words I speak or not of my own but the words of my father that dwell within me

-Jesus proclaims that I am in the Father and the Father in me or believe me for the sakes of my works.

Many of us are facing the challenges of everyday life. Some of us have been blessed to have earthly fathers (daddy’s) who made every effort to ensure that our needs were met. For someone else, it may have been a stepfather, uncle, big brother or some other father figure that stepped in to take care of you. You perhaps didn’t have a father or a father figure which is even more reason I want to introduce you to my daddy. The question I have is do you know my daddy? He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. My Daddy is the maker and creator of the world. Do you know my daddy?, He is the father of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and if you know Jesus and have accepted Him as Lord and Savior, you have been grafted into the family of God. My daddy is your daddy!

If you need a father, I invite you to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior and if you know Jesus, the father is reveal. If you don’t know him, I hope you get to know him and he will reveal my daddy!
