Usain St. Leo Bolt is a 29 time Olympic and World Championship medalist. Bolt recorded 23 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze medal in his illustrious career representing Jamaica. Bolt’s medals were earned in the 100m, 200m and 400m relays. I recently read an article where Bolt is quoted as saying during my career I trained for 4 years to run 9 seconds. Bolt‘s quote is a great lesson for you and I to not give up, to keep pressing.

The realization today is that many of us are facing some major challenges in life. Philippians 4:19 encourages us not give up to keep pressing. Keep pressing while you grieve, keep pressing while you are sick, keep pressing when the relationship is strained, keep pressing while facing financial obstacles, keep pressing when school gets hard, keep pressing to reach your goals in Christ Jesus. Don’t give up because Jesus has not given up on us, keep pressing and when it gets hard and it will keep pressing. The prize in Christ Jesus is worth it!
