God Is With Us!

Isaiah 43:1-2 But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name;

You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

Quickword: God Is With Us!

The Quickword is brief this morning as I have an early flight. As I prepare to board, the word of God reminds me that in spite of the difficulties of life, God is with us. When we pass through the waters, when we pass through the rivers, when we walk through the fires, God is with us. God is with us when we lose a love one, God is with us when we get the Dr's diagnosis, God is with us when we didn't get the job or promotion, God is with us when we are betrayed by family, God is with us when we are mistreated by friends, God is with us.

  • God is with us through the challenges of life

  • God is with us and will not allow us to be overcome by the ups and downs of life

  • God is with us and He knows our names

The fact that God knows our names is significant to me. God knowing our names is more than a casual acquaintance but it signifies that he knows us collectively and individually. He knows our goals, He knows our desires, He knows our fears; God knows us. Take comfort in knowing wherever we are, whatever we are going through that God knows us , God the one who is the King of kings, God who is the Lord of lords, God who is the author and Dinis of our faith is with us.
