God Knows…

Psalms 139:1-6 1 Lord, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up;You understand my thought afar off. 3 You [a]comprehend my path and my lying down,And are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue,But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. 5 You have [b]hedged me behind and before,And laid Your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;It is high, I cannot attain it.

Quickword: God Knows…

On occasion in life, there are obstacles that arise unexpectedly and with such major consequences that they set you back on your heels. It is that backdrop that leads me to Psalms 139 and a very simple word of personal encouragement for myself and for others who maybe facing an existential crisis. The Psalmist perhaps facing his own life challenge reminds us today that God knows. God knows about the loss of love ones, God knows about the Dr’s diagnosis, God knows about real threats that face us individually and collectively along political, racial, gender and orientation lines. God, the maker and creator of the world knows. God knows….

- God has searched us and knows us

- God knows our sitting downs and our rising ups

- God knows our thoughts afar off

- God knows our path and our lying down

- God knows the words on our tongues

The blessings beloved it of God knowing is that He puts a hedge of protection behind and before us. God knows, the God who is God all by himself; God knows, the one who is the God of gods and Lord of lords. God knows every challenge that we face, but not only does God know but He has the power to see about each and everyone of us. God knows and He is a healer, God knows and He is a deliverer, God knows and He can do anything but fail. I’m encouraged and grateful for an omniscience God! A God who knows!
