3 Trust in the Lord and do good;

dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

4 Take delight in the Lord,

and he will give you the desires of your heart.

The political divide and debate continues over the Supreme Courts decision to overturn Roe v Wade. Billions of dollars have been spent due to the attack on Ukraine. We are on edge with number of mass shootings. Gasoline and other items are at an all time which is seen as an indication of inflation leading possibly to a recession. In spite of it all, I’m reminded of the truths from a childhood song that we sang in Church School, VBS and youth groups:

He's got the wind and the rain in his hands.

This morning I am grateful in knowing thAt God has the whole world in His hands. Because I know who He is and who I am in Him, I’m going to take the instructions found here in Psalms 37.

- I’m going to trust in the Lord and do good.

- I‘m going to dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture

- I’m going to take delight in the Lord and He Will gives us the delights of our hearts.

God is the same today, yesterday and forever more. This does not preclude me in being and active citizen that participated in the process, but it allows me to remain hopeful for a better and brighter day. In spite of what’s swirling around us, I take comfort in knowing He (God) has the whole world in his hands. Everything is going to be all right!
