He will return the same way!

Acts 1: 9-11

9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

Quickword: He will return the same way!

In the opening verses of Acts chapter 1, we the disciples are given the promise of the coming Holy Spirit by Jesus. The Holy Spirit will empower the disciples to spread the Gospel throughout the world. In our quickword today as Jesus completed these sayings unto the disciples, He was taken up and a cloud received them Him of their sight. While they watched Jesus going up, two men appeared and asked those present, why do you stand gazing up into the heavens. The same Jesus who was taken up into Heaven will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into Heaven.

- Jesus ascended into Heaven with the promise of the coming Holy Spirit.

- The disciples gazed towards Heaven as Jesus ascended into Heaven filled them with mixed emotions

- The two men who appeared in white assured the onlookers that the the same manner in which Jesus ascended into Heaven, He will return in like manner.

Let us take comfort in knowing that one day, Jesus the Savior of the world will return. Scripture teaches us that no man knows the day nor the hour but we are assured of His coming again. My brothers and sisters until He comes, let us allow the Holy Spirit to guide us in all that we say and do so that we will not be found lacking when Jesus returns.
