I Told You!

John 10:22-30

22 Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter.

23 And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch.

24 Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in [d]doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, theybear witness of Me.

26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep,[e] as I said to you.

27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

30 I and My Father are one.”

Quickword: I Told You!

As the works of Jesus among humanity continued, according to John 10, the Jews surrounded Jesus and ask, if you are the Christ, how long will you keep us in doubt, just tell us plainly. Jesus responds to their questions by saying:

- I told you but you do not believe me, the works I do in my Fathers name bear witness to who I am.

- I told you but you are not my sheep so you do not believe.

- I told you my sheep know my voice and I know them and they follow me

- I told you I give me sheep eternal life, they will never perish and no one is able to snatch the sheep out of my hand.

- I told you the Father and I are one.

My brothers and sisters, the story of the coming of the Jesus is plainly stated in scripture. Jesus has told us who He is, Jesus has demonstrated through His works of the Father who He is. Jesus has stated plainly that He and the Father are one. The question is do we have the faith to believe. He has told us.
