2nd Corinthians 4:8-10

8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

Quickword: Jesus is Real

As we journey through this week, I was reminded of the challenges of life. This past week, some of us had to lay love ones to rest or we were reminded of those who have transitioned from life to life eternal. There are a numbers of persons and families dealing with major health issues. Still others are dealing with financial burdens, strained relationships, the uncertainty of a job and many other challenges that this space does not allow us to identify. Here, Paul's second letter to Corinth, he addresses the many obstacles that we face. He describes these challenges in terms such as hard pressed, crushed, perplexed, persecuted, and struck down. On the other hand he gives us hope because through all of these challenges we are…..

- We are Not in despair

- We are Not forsaken

- We are Not destroyed

My brothers and my sisters, the good news, I said good news is that as long as we have Jesus, we can overcome every obstacles that is placed in our path. We should always carry with us the assurance of the power of the one who lived, died and rose early one Sunday morning with all power in His hand. Here me clearly, I know the situations we are going through are real; death is real, sickness is real, heartache is real, abuse is real, financial burdens are real; but again I've got Good News. Jesus is Real! Cast all your cares upon the one who is the author and finisher of our faith. Jesus is real and He will see us through no matter what comes our way. Jesus is real!
