Living a transformed

Romans 12:1-2

I beseech[a] you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which isyour [b]reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Quickword: Living a transformed life

Most of us at some point and time will be faced with attacks from the enemy. There are times when the enemy is exposed and we have the opportunity to ultimately destroy them. When that time comes, the question I posed is will we be conformed by the world's standards or will we allow ourselves to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Simply stated when opportunity presents itself to exact revenge to those who have harmed us, will we follow the dictates of the world or be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Beloved it, I stand in the shoes of Paul this morning and beg you to live a transformed life. We live a transformed life when:

We present our bodies as living sacrifices, Holy and acceptable to God.

We are not conformed to this world but transformed by renewing our minds.

We strive for our behavior to align with the perfect will of God

This text for me is a word of encouragement for those of us of the faith to strive to live a transformed life. Here me clearly, by no means in our human frailties is living a perfect life completely possible, yet it is of utmost importance that we strive to live a life transformed by our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We must constantly and continually work to renew our minds so that we treat each other through the minds of children of the most high God. Whenever possible, we must extend the grace and mercy to others that God has extended to us, it is in this state that we begin to live transformed lives.
