John 11:40-44
40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
41 Then they took away the stone [d]from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.”
43 Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!”
44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.”
Quickword: Loose Him And Let Him Go!
The eleventh chapter of John captures the restoring power of Jesus as it relates to his friend Lazurus! Lazarus became sick and Martha and Mary, the sisters of Lazarus sent word to Jesus. When Jesus heard of Lazurus sickness, he stayed where He was for two additional days. When Jesus and his disciples arrived, Lazurus had been dead for two days. Jesus said after engaging Martha and Mary instructed them to show
him was Lazurus was laid. After four days many were skeptical of what the outcome would be.
- Everyone cannot be with you during the uncertain times in our lives because of their unbelief.
- No matter how impossible our situations seem, we can take everything to God in prayer in the name of Jesus.
- Jesus can speak life into our. dead situations and bring restoration.
After Jesus called Lazurus by name, he came forth from the grave yet he was still bound by grave clothes. Jesus spoke and said , Loose him and let him go. Whatever binds us today, Jesus has the power to loose us and let us go!
