Romans 8:31-32
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Quickword: Love in Action
There is nothing more powerful than love. Matter of fact in 1st Corinthians 13:13 we find these words: “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” In today’s Quickword I want to suggest, that the beauty of Love is when it is put into action. Today’s text is a demonstration of Love in action. The writer responds to a rhetorical question that highlights God’s Love for humanity.
- Since God is for us, who can be against us?
- God demonstrated His love by giving us his only begotten son who died for our sins.
- Love is more than words, it is action
Today is Valentine’s Day; I suggest strongly that you do what you need to do in that area. Yet today, I want to challenge you to move beyond just showing love to those who have demonstrated love to you. Today would be a good day to reconcile a relationship with a family member, friend or co-worker. Yeah, I know it was not your fault that the relationship is strained but we have an opportunity today and really everyday that we are blessed with life to heal wounded relationships. That’s what Christ did for you and I, he died at Calvary so that as sinner men and women we could be reconciled back to God. I know what I’m asking is not easy, real love never is! Put love into action and see what happens.
