Made it to the other side

Mark 4:39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

Quickword: Made it to the other side

In the verses preceding Mark 4:39 we find a very familiar passage of scripture. The text starting at verse 35 highlights that Jesus had been teaching from a boat and when evening comes, He says to his disciples, let us go to the other side. As Jesus and his disciples made their way to the other side, along with other boats, a great storm arose. Jesus was asleep and the disciples woke him up and asked Master, do you care anything about us? Here in Mark 4:39, Jesus speaks and says to the storm peace be still and the winds and the waves obeyed. What’s not told in the story that we can deduct is that after Jesus spoke to the storm, He and the disciples along with the others made it to the other side. In the Quickword today, I’m looking for a witness who will testify that I made to the other side:

- The Storms of life are going to come and keep on coming.

- In the midst of the storms we can still call on Jesus.

- Jesus has the power to speak a word and cause the storms to cease.

Again, I’m just looking for one witness and I’ll make two that I’ve had some storms in my life but I made to the other side. Anybody ever had a storm of sickness and they didn’t think you were going to make it, but you made it to the other side. Anybody ever gone through a bad breakup, maybe even a divorce but you made to the other side. Anybody ever lost your job and a means to support yourself but when you look back, you can testify that you made it to the other side. Thank you for your witness, you see someone will read this post today and they are in the midst of one of life’s storms. The good news for them is just like we made it to the other side, with faith in Jesus they are going to make it to. They are going to make it to the other side. We’ve come to far for the Lord to leave us now. Hold on my brother, hold on my sister, you are going to make it to the other side.
