Sealed By God

Revelation 7:1-4

1After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. 2 Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea,

3 saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.”

4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:

As as young believers years ago, the book of Revelation was unnerving to me. That was a genuine concern on my part with what trials and tribulations that we would face in the future. My brothers and sisters, I’ve lived long enough now and experienced a personal relationship with God that I know what He has for the children of God is is perfect plan and will. After the opening of the previous six seals as described by John, we find in Chapter 7 the opening of the 7th seal. In todays Quickword we find an angel ascendung from the East proclaiming to the four winds that had been granted permission to harm the earth and the are not to do anything until the the servants of God had been sealed.

- The judgement of the living God is coming..

- When judgement comes, the servants of God will be sealed by the angels of God..

- We are sealed by the power of the Holy Spirit; what leaves us unprotected is not being obedient to the directions of the Holy Spirit.

As believers in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we can take comfort in knowing that we have been sealed by the blood of the Jesus. No matter what we are facing even today, we have been sealed by God! Thank God, the blood still works and it will never lose its power.
