The Blessing of Waiting

Isaiah 40: 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Quickword: The Blessing of Waiting

The challenges of everyday life can cause us to become weary. Over the last two years, the challenge of making it from one day to the next have been complicated by the impacts of Covid 19. The pandemic has exposed more the disparity in health care, affordable housing, education and food insecurity for some families in the riches nation in the world. I know that I’m not the only person who finds themselves fatigued. In my devotional time which is where each morning the Quickword comes from, Inwas blessed with words of encouragement from the prophet Isaiah who reminds us that there is a blessing in waiting:

- When we wait upon the Lord, He renews our strength

- When we wait upon the Lord, we mount up with wings of eagle.

- When we wait upon the Lord, we can run and not be weary, walk and not faint.

Be blessed by the words of Isaiah in that we are reminded that there is a blessing in waiting on the Lord. My brothers and sisters, the Lord knows where we are and what we are going through. I encourage you to keep praying, be patient and to wait upon the Lord! There is a blessing in waiting; we will received strength from the Lord himself. Wait on the Lord!
