The Blessings of Giving

Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Quickword: The Blessings of Giving

When we look around our surroundings we find that the need of humanity is great. The economic impacts of COVID are still visible. There are business that were unable to sustain the trauma of the last three plus years, these places will never return. The impact of the ongoing war in Ukraine will certainly impact the global economy as it relates to grain and petroleum. Today, many of us are struggling to meet our basic needs. Yet, this Quickword in Philippians reminds us that God has the means to meet our every need.

- The need for support, financially, spiritually, and the physical care among humanity is great.

- Many of you have given sacrificially to support persons you don’t know and will never meet.

- God will meet the needs of those who generously give of their time, talents and resources.

The Apostle Paul responds to the generosity of the church at Philippi. This church had supported Paul during times of distress, on occasion they were his only support. Here Paul reminds them because of the generosity displayed that God will supply for their needs according to His riches in glory. Some of us are blessed to be able to support ministries even throughout our current situations. Take comfort in knowing that the God whom we serve will meet our needs; don’t be afraid to give sacrificially. I truly believe God will bless publicly what is done privately. Your impact among your community is far more greater than you can ever imagine. Your actions and giving reflect the blessings we have received through Jesus Christ. We know Jesus paid it all so that we may have life and life more abundantly.
