Quick Word: The Blood Still Works

Yesterday while driving, I noticed a billboard that lead to a theocentric moment for me. The billboard read MD Anderson Cancer Center. MD Anderson is one of if not the best Cancer treatment centers in the United States, if not the world. What touched my spirit was on the billboard, the word cancer had been marked through by a red line. You see the meaning to me was as a patient you may go to MD Anderson as a Cancer Patient but first, the crossed out word cancer represents persons who will be healed from the cancer and second, I believe the Red Crossed out word cancer is the Centers way of saying to patients that the patient nor the center will be defined by a condition:

Likewise my brothers and sisters, I encourage you to draw a red line through whatever condition you are facing today. We are not defined by an illness, our financial conditions, our relationships or employment status. We are not identified by our conditions but we are defined by our connection to the Christ. We as believers in Christ Jesus, can draw a red line through our conditions; the red line represents the blood of Jesus. This quick word reminds us that not only did Jesus die to save us, but he lived, died and rose again for you and I that we might have life and life more abundantly. He is worthy to be praised!
