Psalms 30:5
5 For His anger is but for a moment,His favor is for life;Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.
Quickword: Yesterday across this country, we remembered the attacks on the United States some 21 years ago. Many of us can recall exactly where we were when we came to the realization that planes that were deliberately crashed in the World trade centers buildings, the Pentagon and another plane that crashed in Pennsylvania as a result of some courageous passengers that took action that fateful day. I remember that day vividly but what I also remember is the day after, the day after this attacks and the uncertainty of where we were headed. Yet on September 12th with the help of God, the next day came and for 21 years, the ramifications of that day are present today. We have also over the last 21 years faced a number of challenges to include a global pandemic. Even today, many of us are facing situations and circumstances that we are uncertain the outcome. The Psalmist encourages us with these few words from Psalms 30:5
Anger is for only a moment
The favor of God is for life
Weeping endures for a night but Joy comes in the morning
Even after 9-11, there was weeping, there was weeping on yesterday as we remembered the tremendous loss of life. My brothers and sisters, even in our darkest times we can look to God. We can look to God because He is....
He is the Author and Finisher of our Faith
He is a comforter in our time of need
He is a deliverer in times of trouble
He is a healer, way maker, and a promise keeper. Situations and circumstances will lead from time to time weeping. Weeping will come but the day after, joy will come. Some days last longer than others; we just have to trust in the one who is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscience. I'll be a witness that after weeping comes joy; hold on the day after is coming and in that day we will find joy.
