The Joy of the being in the House of the Lord!

Psalms 122:1

I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

Quickword: The Joy of being in the House of the Lord!

What an appropriate Psalm for the first Sunday of a New Year. This Psalm attributed to King David is ironic in that it is believed that David himself never made it to the physical temple that was built during the reign of his son Solomon. Yet David had great joy in the anticipation of future generations entering into the house of the Lord. The impacts of Covid 19 has resulted in a great number of us not being able to participate in worship physically in the Lords house. This morning, if you are able and deemed it safe, I encourage you to make your way to the Santuary to give God praise. If you can’t make it into a physical sanctuary, join worship virtually where the word of God is being preached. I’m looking forward to being in the sanctuary today to worship in His presence. I’m glad because:

- It’s a blessing to come together in corporate praise (In-person and virtually) to build up the body of Christ

- It’s a blessing to come into the house because praise is both corporate and individual.

- It’s a blessing to come into the house because there is Power in the house.

Due to health and safety protocols, If you can’t make it into a physical place of worship or don’t have a place to worship virtually, please be my guest in person or virtually at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 N. Walters St, San Antonio Texas or virtually on YouTube or Facebook at 10 Am Central time where I serve on staff under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Kenneth Kemp, Sr. Pastor. I look forward to worshipping with you today. There is joy in being in the Lord’s house. I echo the sentiments of the Psalmist, I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the House of the Lord! See you soon!
