Lamentations 3:22-24
22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!”

This morning as most of the country prepares for a winter storm, I am encouraged by the words from the 3rd chapter of Lamentations. Here the writer reminds us that as a result of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed. The writer further tells us that the mercies of God are new every morning. The faithfulness of the Lord is great. The writer closes these verses by emphatically stating, the Lord is my portion, for this reason I put my hope in Him.

I want to suggest that as we prepare for a winter weather storm that many of us are already facing the storms of life. Storms of financial burdens, storms of the loss of a loved one, storms of a broken or strained relationship, storms of failing health, the storms of life keep on coming. There is good news; the good news being we can place our hope in Him. We can put our hope in Him because His mercies are new every morning. Him woke us up this morning, Him put food on our table; Him put a roof over our head, Him knows what we are going through. It is because of Him that the ups and downs of life do not consumed us. It is because of Him, even while we are preparing to go through the storm, while we are in the storm or coming out of the storm, we can remain confident because of Him. ADONAI. My Master.
JEHOVAH JIREH. My Provider.
JEHOVAH ROPHE. My Healer.
JEHOVAH NISSI. My Banner.
JEHOVAH MAKADESH. My Sanctifier.
Because of Him and His daily new mercies, my sister and my brother, everything is going to be all right!!!!
