The Ministry of The Savior

Isaiah 61:1-3

1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,

because the Lord has anointed me

to proclaim good news to the poor.

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

to proclaim freedom for the captives

and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]

2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor

and the day of vengeance of our God,

to comfort all who mourn,

3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—

to bestow on them a crown of beauty

instead of ashes,

the oil of joy

instead of mourning,

and a garment of praise

instead of a spirit of despair.

They will be called oaks of righteousness,

a planting of the Lord

for the display of his splendor.

Quickword: The Ministry of The Savior

I simply highlight from the prophet Isaiah, the coming ministry of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Here the prophets proclaims that one day a coming Messiah would come and proclaim that the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me and because of the Lord power, and presence the one who is coming will:

- Proclaim Good News to the poor

- Bind up the brokenhearted

- Proclaim freedom for the captives

- Release darkness from the prisoners

- Proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the vengeance of the Lord

- Comfort all who mourn

-Provide for those who grieve

- Bestow a crown of beauty instead of ashes

- Provide the oil of joy instead of mourning a d a garment of praise instead of the despair

- We shall be called Oaks of Righteousness and witnesses of the goodness of the Lord.

Beloved on this Christmas Eve morning, no matter your situation or circumstance in life; take comfort in knowing that the power and presence of the Lord is with us. I shout this morning knowing that the God is with us. I shout this morning, knowing that the Savior has come and is coming again. I shout this morning, thanking God for all that he has done in our lives, past, future and even at this very moment in time. If God never does anything else, He has already done enough.

God is Worthy , God is Worthy of all of our praise.
