We are living in a time where divisions among us is at an all time high. We see it in our politics, We see the division based on race, gender, economics, orientation, and education. All of us at one point and time have said, done or not done something that we need forgiveness. Peter in this text comes to Jesus and ask Him, how often should I forgive my brother who sins against me. From this text we find these truths if we are to come together….
- The need for forgiveness is urgent among us.
- We must be willing to ask for forgiveness and be willing to give forgiveness
- Forgiveness will cause us to push beyond what‘s comfortable for reconciliation
Today I urge you to ask for forgiveness from those whom you need forgiveness. I urged you to grant forgiveness to those who seek forgiveness from you. Lastly, I pray that today we will forgive ourselves. We are blessed to have a Savior whoSr shed blood and broken body redeems us from all of our shortcomings.
