James 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Quickword: The Power of Prayer
James, the half brother of Jesus provides us words of encouragement when he reminds us of the power of prayer. I imagine everyone who reads this post is dealing with some issue or concern that is beyond our control. Today if you are not dealing with an issue then you have a prayer of thanksgiving. James word encourages us to:
Confess our trespasses to one another
Pray for one another that we might be healed
Reminding us that the prayers of the righteous availeth much.
The week, the Antioch Church of San Antonio Texas has set aside time and space (15-17 November) for a prayer revival. Under the leadership of our Pastor and prayer ministry we are collectively lifting our petetions unto God. I simply remind you today that we can take EVERYTHING to God in prayer. The words of James serves as a testimony that there is power in prayer. I solicit your prayers for me as I lift you in prayers. I am encouraged because I know that God still hears and answers our prayers.
