Genesis 28:16-17
16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” 17 And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!”
Quickword(Late Edition): The Presence and Promises of God
Tonight at the Antioch Baptist Church, we reentered the Sanctuary for first time in over 2 1/2 years for in-person Bible Study. Our Pastor, Rev. K.R. Kemp has been teaching through the book of Genesis. Dr. Kemp lead us tonight in the examination of a familiar passage of scripture in Genesis Chapter 28; in the text Jacob upon entering the land toward Haran, he laid down and went to sleep. While he slept, he dreamed and in the dream, there was a ladder that was set up on earth that at the top stretched to heaven. Jacob dreamed that Angels were ascendeding and descending between Heaven and earth. While Jacob dreamed, God spoke to him and promised him that He would give him and his seeds the land he was laying on. While Jacob dreamed, God promised that his descendants would be as numerous as the sand. While Jacob dreamed, God promised to never leave or forsake him. Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.”
The dream showed Jacob the continuous blessings of the Lord going from Heaven to earth.

The dream reminds us not to miss the presence and promises of God
My brothers and sisters in the craziness of the day in which we live, we can miss the fact that we are in the presence of the Lord. Angels are ascedending and descending between Heaven and Earth on behalf of the Almighty God( El Shaddai). Let us always remember how blessed with are as a result of the Grace of God! Like Jacob, we should proclaim in the presence of God, how awesome is this place!
