As I was working on a word for an upcoming sermon I'm scheduled to preach, the Spirit led me back to the creation story. The opening verses give us a description that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Verse two gives us a description of the earth; the earth was without form and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the spirit of God was hovering over the face of the water. Then in verse 3, we find these words, Then God said to open the verse. These words, Then God said are found also In verses 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24 and 26. Everything that was made in creation was birthed from what God spoke after these three words: Then God said...
- The heavens and the earth were created
- Everything in heaven and earth was created
- Humanity, male and female was created.
This Quickword is simply a reminder that the God who spoke and created the world still speaks. This Quickword may just be for me today; I'm listening with anticipation to the what God is saying and creating. I just believe God is still speaking and out of His voice are unlimited possibilities. Then God said...New ministries are birthed....Then God said...families are reconciled....Then God said...health is restored...Then God said... closed doors are opened. I with all of my being believed that God still speaks to humanity and the possibilities are unlimited...
