Proverbs 3:5-6

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,

My beloved brothers and sisters as we navigate the challenges of everyday life, I offer this very familiar passage of scripture in our Quickword for examination. In the wake of another mass shooting, this time in Oklahoma, we find direction in the word of the Lord. Proverbs 3 reminds us no matter what to :

- Trust in the Lord with all of our hearts

- Lean not on our own understanding

- In all of our ways acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths.

The principals found in this text are clear. We can trust in the Lord in all situations and circumstances. Unlike humanity, the Lord is the same today, yester day, tomorrow and forevermore. I’ve learned that we can always find peace, comfort and guidance when we trust in the Lord.
