Unboxing Pt. 8

Psalms 37: 34-36

34Wait on the Lord,

And keep His way,

And He shall exalt you to inherit the land;

When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

35 I have seen the wicked in great power,

And spreading himself like a native green tree.

36 Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more; Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.

Quickword: Unbothered Pt. 8

Thanks to all of you who support the Quickword. Over the last week, we have worked through most of Psalms 37 under the general theme of being unbothered. Over the last week, if I can have a moment of transparency, Satan has been after me for proclaiming no matter my situations and circumstances I'm going to trust the Lord and be unbothered. In this portion of the text the Psalmist reminds us that the wicked will be cut off and we will be witnesses to the enemies demise. The Psalmist instructions to us are to wait on the Lord and keep His way. One of the hardest things to do, especially when we are under attack and need relief is to wait. Yet, I've got some good news for you and for me, that being:

- The Lord may not come when we call Him; but He is always on time.

- The enemies upper hand is only temporary

- If we wait on the Lord and keep His way, we are promised that the Lord will exalt us and give us the land.

My brothers and my sisters, I don't know what you are going through today, but I do know that the Lord is an on time God. I encouraged you to remain unbothered, to walk thru the storms of life knowing that at the word of God, He can speak peace into our lives. I'm unbothered by the attacks of Satan, matter of fact, I'm grateful because when we come through the storms, we find that we are stronger and wiser. I'm unbothered because I know that my faith in God will see me through.
