Psalms 33:20-22

We live in a world where waiting is frowned upon. We can order from Amazon and have just about anything delivered within a day. If we don’t want to prepare a meal, we can quickly pick up something or have something delivered. If we are honest most of us don’t like waiting. This Quickword reminds us there is a blessing in waiting on the Lord. When our souls wait for the Lord we realize that:

- The Lord is our help and shield

- Our hearts rejoice in Him because we trust in Him

- Lord let your mercy be upon us, joust as our hope is in you.

Today many of us are waiting on the Lord. We are waiting on the Lord to answer our prayers. We are waiting on the Lord to give us peace. We are waiting on the Lord to provide guidance and direction for a multitude of reasons. The Psalmist encourages us out of our souls to wait on the Lord. My brothers and my sisters, whatever need you have today, wait on the Lord. The Saints of old would say, he may not come when you call Him, but He is always right on time. The Lord knows what we need and He knows when we need it. Hold on, I’ve got a feeling everything is going to be all right.
