Psalms 95: 7 For He is our God,
And we are the people of His pasture,
And the sheep [a]of His hand.

The 95th Psalms is a call to worship and obedience. From verses 1-6, the Psalmist describes how we should approach the presence of God with singing and Thanksgiving. The Psalms then moves and reminds us that God is a great God and the creator of all things. The Psalms then tells us in verse six how to worship “Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.”Yet it is in verse 7 that we come to the reality of to whom we belong: The psalmist tells us that:
- He is our God
- We are the people of His pasture
- We are the sheep of His hand.
My brothers and sisters, we are blessed in that we belong to God. The Psalmist pivots in the final phase of this verse and offers us the privilege of being in communion with God, the one tomwhom we belong. The Psalmist says, Today, if you will hear His voice. What a wonderful invitation we received every morning, the invitation to come into the presence of God and to hear His voice. I thank God for the blessing that we have to be able to come into a his presence and to hear His voice. In His voice is peace, In His voice is patience, in His voice is power, In His voice is promise, in His voice is protection, in His voice is purpose. When we hear His voice it propels us into a position of praise. Today, if you will hear his voice, you will know that we belong to God….
