Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall [a]direct your paths.
Quickword: What God has for you!
Proverbs 3:5-6 is a very familiar passage of scripture that many of us are turn to for encouragement. Every time I encounter this text I'm reminded of how amazing God is. This amazement comes from my belief that God has created a unique path specifically designed for each of us as we work individually and collectively to advance the Kingdom of God. Another or simplier way of to explain what the Quickword is trying to convey this morning is to remind each and everyone of us that what God has for you is for you and what God has for me for me. We are blessed individually and collectively when we are in right relationship with God. The text reminds us to.
Trust in the Lord with all of our hearts
Lean not to our own finite understanding
In all of our ways acknowledge God, He will direct our path.
I am grateful today to know that we serve a God who gives us directions for our lives. If I'm honest, there are times I've strayed from the path that God had for me. It was by the grace of God that He kept me in spite of me. This morning I'm grateful and thankful to God knowing that if we continue to trust, lean and acknowledge Him, He will direct our paths. What God has for you is for you and what God has for me is for me.
