Who Is He?

Matthew 16:13-15

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” 14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

The Quickword today is simply a question posed to you and I. Jesus when he came into the region of Caesarea Philippi He asked his disciples (followers) who do the people say that I am. He then poses the question to His disciples by asking , But who do you say that I am. I pray that today you will ponder this question and define who Jesus is to you.

- Some misidentified him as John The Baptist, Elijah, Jeremiah or some other prophet.

- Our relationship with Jesus is personal and not defined by others

- His true nature is revealed to us through the power of the Holy Spirit.

When I respond to the question of who Jesus is, I answer in a number of ways; He is my savior and redeemer, He is my healer and deliverer, He is the Holy Son of God. He is the Way the Truth and the Light. He is the Prince of Peace, He is my Provider, He is my waymaker, He is my miracle worker. If you are like me today, when I think of who Jesus is to me, it causes me to bless His name, for He is worthy to be praised!
